Education

The Iron County School District consists of nine elementary schools, two middle schools, and three high schools.  The school district prides itself on providing a quality education to nearly 9,000 students each year.  The educational programs of Iron County are under the direction of an elected five-member board.  Partnerships with parents and students have warded four Iron County schools with the Governor's Centennial School Award.  Pupil-to-teacher ratios average between 21/1 and 26/1.
